Product Description
RanCheng Group designed and manufactured the RC-1C Seismic Sensor as a lightweight, fully integrated node-based acquisition unit for both active and passive seismic surveys.
It combines a high-sensitivity geophone (2Hz, 5Hz, or 10Hz) with advanced GPS/BDS timing, ultra-low-power operation, wireless charging, and wireless pulse communication.
The 5Hz version weighs only 560 g without the tail spike, making it easy to carry for long-distance field deployment.
Thanks to its connector-free housing, strong environmental resistance, and long-life battery, the RC-1C is suitable for unattended outdoor operation and can support automatic deployment and retrieval workflows.
It provides a practical, scalable, and cost-efficient solution for large, high-density 3D seismic exploration.

Customer Benefits
The RC-1C seismic sensor delivers reliable data for oil, gas, coal, and engineering investigations, enabling faster field deployment with fewer personnel. Its connector-free, rugged design reduces maintenance, while long-duration operation supports microtremor and passive surveys. Stable timing accuracy ensures consistent results over extended periods, and cloud-based tools simplify data management, helping to reduce overall project costs for large-scale 3D surveys.

Application
RanCheng Group develops the RC-1C seismic sensor to meet the needs of a wide range of subsurface investigation projects. It is used in seismic hazard and site-safety evaluations in earthquake-prone regions, shallow geological surveys, and urban underground space detection. The sensor also supports geothermal exploration, coal goaf mapping, and resource investigations for oil, natural gas, coal, and non-ferrous metals.
Designed to support both active and passive seismic methods, the RC-1C seismic sensor is well-suited for microseismic monitoring, ambient-noise imaging, MASW surveys, and active-source surveys. This flexibility ensures reliable performance across diverse geological and engineering environments.
The RC-1C seismic sensor is widely adopted by university professors and research teams engaged in seismic research, including ambient noise tomography and microseismic studies, as well as by scientific research institutions conducting advanced geophysical investigations. In addition, it serves oil, gas, and coal companies performing seismic reflection, seismic refraction, seismic exploration, and other active-source seismic operations in resource development projects.
