RC-1CE 5 Hz Seismic Instrument, developed by RanCheng Machinery, is engineered for large-scale dense-array deployments and short-period seismic investigations. With the rapid adoption of node-based systems, growing computing capacity, and advanced ambient-noise imaging techniques, the RC-1CE Seismic Instrument provides an efficient and economical solution for crustal studies, resource exploration, and environmental monitoring. Hundreds or thousands of portable units can be deployed within a short period to record natural seismic sources, ambient noise, and active-source signals, improving the resolution of subsurface structures and near-surface anomalies.

Case Study - Active-Source Reflection Survey with Well Shots (Sichuan, Guangyuan)
In this survey, the RC-1CE Seismic Instrument developed by RanCheng Machinery was deployed together with well-shot active sources to conduct a 2D reflection investigation supporting the West–East Gas Pipeline corridor assessment. The node-based configuration provided reliable data acquisition in complex terrain, while the recorded reflection signals delivered clear images of shallow structures. Through systematic processing and interpretation, several near-surface faults and related geological features were identified. The results offered important geological input for assessing potential safety risks along the planned pipeline route and supported the engineering design work for the project.

To meet project requirements from data acquisition to final delivery, the RC-1CE Seismic Instrument can be configured with the following supporting systems:
Software System
Tools for project configuration, node management, data merging, storage, QC visualization, and survey output.
Auxiliary Equipment
Charging and data download racks are available in 12-channel, 48-channel, and 96-channel versions to match different project scales and field crew sizes.
Server System
A recording server equipped with RAID storage, optical communication modules, and UPS backup for stable and secure data management.
Optional Ground Accessories
For hard or paved surfaces, round tail spikes can be provided to ensure proper sensor coupling during deployment.
